Backup Abstract

We store your work locally in a temporary location on the hard disk of your computer.

After each commit, your changes sync to our servers and your teammates’ computers. We also back everything up automatically on our servers. We run all of our infrastructure through Amazon Web Services (AWS), US East.

Because your files are stored locally, you can work offline whenever you like. You also won't lose work if you unexpectedly go offline.

Moving or altering your files from the Applications Support folder could cause problems when you use Abstract.

To back up your Abstract files, back up your computer as you normally would using an external hard drive or cloud service (e.g. Dropbox or Google Drive). Make sure you include the Application Support folder on your Mac when backing up.

Alternatively, you can export your files before backing them up.
