Accept an email invitation (new Abstract user account)

To accept an email invitation to an organization:

Open the invitation email from the organization you're joining. It will look something like this:

Click on Accept Invitation. 

If this is your first time joining an Abstract organization, you'll be asked to create an account after you accept an invitation. Enter your information into the form, select whether you'd like to receive emails from us, and read and accept the Terms of Service. When done, click Create Account.

You'll be taken to the invitation page. Click Accept Invitation.

You'll see a message saying You're in! and giving you a few options for accessing Abstract. You're now a member of your organization.

Accepting an email invitation (existing Abstract user account)

If you already have an Abstract account, you can join more than one organization -- just be sure to ask the new organization to send the invite to the email address associated with your existing Abstract account.

If you try to accept an invitation and receive this error: To accept this invitation, this email must be associated with your account, it means you already have an Abstract account. In this case, follow the steps below to accept your organization's invitation with your existing account.

To accept an invitation to an additional organization, open the invitation email from the organization you're joining. It will look something like this:

You'll be taken to the form to create a new account, but don't do that! Instead, click on the Sign in here link next to Already have an account?

This will take you to a page where you can sign in using your existing account. You've successfully joined a new organization with that account!

Accept a linked invitation

Some organizations may invite you to join using a link. Once you click the link, a browser window opens where you may sign-up, sign-in, or confirm you'd like to join the organization that invited you.

I can’t find my company’s existing Abstract organization

If you are joining an existing organization and Abstract can’t seem to find your company’s organization, one of two things is happening:

1. Your organization’s admin has chosen to be invisible to new users.
2. The email domain you entered does not match an existing organization in our records.

In either case, please reach out to your Abstract organization’s admin to request a direct invitation.
